Awakening: High Sec again?

Date: 20200316

I have been lost for some time. I find myself in the Kimotoro constellation, in the Forge region. My ships are sold, destroyed, but money appears to be no problem. Hopefully, I can awaken from this detachment, and regain my traction, my goals and philosphies. It seems I have been rejected membership by Dreddit of the TEST Alliance; finding out what is going on and why my beard have been shaved off into nothing but this creepy moustache.

Until my next log, fly safe, scan, be awake and be alive.

Destination: Mastakomon

Leaving Inaya, destined for Mastakomon

BWF-ZZ is still rife with gate-campers who prefer to be alone and eventually have nothing but the Guristas to fight. The only resolve is heading to Mastakomon system, and take it slow over the next few days. During this trip, I might bust some pirate chops and make some ISK to cover the expenses.

It will not be easy, so a slow adventure and good defense is the only way.

The reality of travel

I can only try to imagine what it was like 21,000 "earth years" ago, with a few million humans trying to travel over that small little waterlogged sphere.

As I found myself finding Uitra too small and limited, my Heron was unprepared but willing to help me get out. My data analyser, being a little buggy lately, as well as the relic analyser was set up, probes loaded and off I went. My travel mate and spacewife, Meerkat, stayed behind to rest.

Entering Unpas, then Shihuken, Tuuriainas and most of the rest, was done with the usual trepidation and caution. Probes were launched, and simple scans done for any signatures in the solar systems that provided some hint of profiteering hopes... data and relic sites. Not many, as is typical here in the higher security systems. I guess with the healthy minded, neutral and well oiled civilisations, resources are tapped dry sooner or later.

I continued having low to no success as I traversed through 0.7 and 0.5 zones, with only minor successes in signature analysis. At this point I decided to just throw caution to the wind, and peek into  BWF-ZZ.

Naturally, no risky jumps should be made without doing some crime checks on the gates...
In spite of risk, low numbers and checking timing on the kill listings, I went through, and made it back. I went past the shooting and shenanigans. One could say like a well-oiled machine, but it was more luck than anything else.

Stay safe explorers, ratters and bounty hunters, for you are the real skills out there!

Pandemic Horde Inc

After the liquidation of Red Dog, we have been scouting for a corporation that will allow us the freedoms, so we can help them with their causes.
As much as I want to join a smaller alliance, lending my aid to those who want to grow (and I never liked joining the winning guys...), they are hard to find, communicate with and apply to.

For that reason, my considerations at this date in New eden is:
1. STRXP - Star Explorers
2. Signal Cartel
3. Pandemic Horde

There is a vast difference between these, but my primary income and passions are to explore, hack and plunder data sites and find the rarer ores to fund my defence and pleasure requirements.

Signal Cartel seems like a no go. They are a good match, but too carebear for me. I feel that wanted criminals should be hunted, and their possessions taken for profit. Signal Cartel forbids this.

Star Explorers are very small, under 10 from what I can see actively in the communications channels. They are great people, but finding responses and recruitment support has been tough.

Lastly, the support, niceness, combat training, perks and what seems to be freedoms, from Pandemic Horde Inc, might be what I want.

The decision will be made soon. Updates will be posted, but for now, repairs await me in the hangar.

Red Dog, Ded Dog

Red Dog Syndicate has been liquidated.
In light of the management time and skills required, and the fact that corporations with ideal credos already exist, we are going to join their ranks and help the cause, help ourselves get better.

Stay tuned

Anti Piracy run

Meerkat Gaal and Doring Veldbos jumped a few stargates to Haatomo, level 0.6
Intention: Find and destroy any pirates in the asteroid belts, as well as anyone lingering with a bounty.

Starting at Haatomo II, about 21 AU from the gate:
No activity. Mining some Veldspar and Viscous Pyroxeres.

Next up, Uedama system, more risky at level 0.5

Both ships destroyed. Both pilots jettisoned capsules. Loss of onboard ore.
Reason for failure: Unprepared for large amount of pirates in belt, lack of sufficient armour against thermal bombardment.

Warped to Uitra for an insurance claim on the lost Bantam.

Advanced Techniques

A short message to capsuleers.
The University is often forgotten, and its material too.
The page https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Advanced_piloting_techniques is a good highlight of some common tips and tricks that a new pilot can embrace.

Wander safe and far, take it, bring it home.
